During National Adoption Awareness Month, I will introduce you to numerous guests, highlighting many parts of the adoption journey. Today’s artwork submission is from  Josseline Tanus. She discovered our call for adoption stories on Instagram and decided to put her art skills to use. Josseline is a hopeful adoptive parent who wanted to showcase the idea of feeling hopeful during the adoption journey in this beautiful piece.

For this piece, I was inspired by the idea that adoption is a long journey, but that at the end you find your little gift from the universe. All families are different and I like to think some are made and some are found and they are all special.

Josseline is an illustrator based in Northern California. She has lived in 3 different countries and several different cities. She believes that being part of different cultures has informed her practice. Josseline loves using art to touch people’s hearts and hopefully inspire them. You can check our her website and Instagram page for more of her artwork.
