By Stephanie Casaubon
Adoption Is Love was inspired by my two daughters, who joined our family through adoption in 2013 and 2015. This book is my love letter to them.
The book invites them to ask questions, have conversations with me and feel all their feelings. The message this book holds is that, no matter the season, I am here to walk beside them – no matter what.
This book is about a mother’s love and is intended for all mothers and children brought together by adoption, because I want all children to know what I’ve always told my daughters: that they are forever loved – just as they are.
Whether you adopted internationally, through foster care, an agency or independently, every adoption journey is different. The book opens: from the moment I saw you, giving space to explain how your adoption came to be. The book then says you have a birth family, opening an opportunity for dialogue as to what that looks like for your situation.
Adoption Is Love was carefully written to introduce the language, leaving room for you, the mother, to fill in the details unique to your family.
